I’m not a big fan of the crossbar, honestly, because it can easily scratch bikes, it only offers one point to lock to the frame, bikes can get tangled up, and heavier bikes (like my xtracycle) are difficult to heave up and over a crossbar. That said, I do appreciate that Lou’s even thought to expand bike parking.

If you like the racks, be sure and thank Dan/Marcus/Chris for their consideration, these racks weren’t cheap! 🙂

I’ve never used them before, and after all the praise I’ve heard from you about them here, I’m eager to see for myself. I’ll definitely be heading over to do that and show my appreciation sometime soon.

I also wonder how you think staple racks compare to ones like the nice new rack at Lou’s. I like the free configuration of simple crossbar, but maybe staples are easier to get a lock around?
